Perhaps you are setting a New Year’s intention to pursue a healthier diet or improve your level of fitness. Or maybe you are looking for a tool to ease your troubled mind during uncertain times. Committing to a 40-day meditation practice can help you to bolster your resolve and maintain your balance. Yoga West teachers are here to assist.
Beginning on New Year’s Day Monday, January 1, 2018, and continuing through Friday, February 9th, all Yoga West classes will include the same simple 11-minute meditation, with its prescribed:
- posture (cross-legged or easy pose),
- mudra (hand position),
- eye focus (closed & focused at the brow), and
- pranayam (controlled breathing pattern).
Printed instructions for this 11-minute meditation will be available at the studio so that you can practice it daily on your own. But the days you come to Yoga West for a yoga or meditation class, you’ll have the support of the group.
